Self cleaning function from sand grains colliding with greater frequency. This bumping knocks debris off sand grains providing new areas for bacterial growth to occur.

This special mixture of sand is easily fluidized even with small energy efficient pumps.

For use in fresh or saltwater aquariums.

How to Fill Chamber

1. Turn off pump.
2. Wait for sand to settle. Allow at least ten minutes.
3. Pour in enough sand to reach the "Media Fill Level" on unit.
4. Clean flow control valve and valve chamber of any debris.
5. Lubricate valve and valve chamber with Lifegard Silicone Lubricant.
6. Do not overfill.
