1. To open cover, slightly raise lock tabs one by one while lifting cover off.
2. Fill drum with flake fish food. Note: Larger flakes should be broken up to prevent clogging of feeding tube. *See note below.
3. Regulate quantity of food by turning adjustable food dispenser. At the + setting, the DD-AF2 will dispense the maximum serving per rotation, at the - setting, the minimum.
4. Before attaching food drum to motor spindle check food quantity by rotating the feeding drum clockwise over a sheet of paper. To increase or decrease quantity, rotate food dispenser tube to + or - setting.
5. Load fresh AA battery (not included).
6. Mount food drum onto one of four positions on square spindle and check drum rotation by inspecting after one hour. Clockwise movement of feeding tube should be equivalent to that of the hour hand on a clock.
7. Clamp onto tank frame and secure tightly with screw. Slide unit forward to insure that the food drum can rotate freely over water.
   Or, remove mounting clamp and set aside for freestanding option on tank hood.
8. To keep food dry, do not place above any bubbling accessories such as airstones, aerating ornaments, or turbulent filters.
9. Feeding will now take place twice per day as food drum rotates clockwise.

Important Warranty Information: This product is serviced by the manufacturer and should not be returned to the retail merchant for any service problems. In the event this product requires service, return it to Penn-Plax, Inc.

Limited Warranty

1. This Penn-Plax automatic aquarium fish feeder is warranted under normal usage against defective materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days from date of original purchase. Repairs and replacements will be made at the manufacturer's discretion, free of any charge for parts and/or labor.
2. For repair service, pack carefully, and send postpaid directly to Penn-Plax together with form. Each product must be accompanied by sales slip showing date of purchase. Since no repairs will be made under this warranty without a sales slip, the purchaser should retain and store it in a safe place together with these instructions.
   • For a period of 90 days from the date of original purchase there is no charge.
   • After 90 days, a $6.00 charge is required to cover shipping and handling costs, and replacement or repair of product.
3. This warranty will not apply to any product which has been subjected to tampering, misuse or negligence. Read and follow instructions.
4. Penn-Plax assumes no liability with respect to loss or damage to livestock or personal property, irrespective of the cause thereof.

Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow any exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations may not apply to you.
