Supreme Pondmaster 1250 Garden Pond Filter System

Made in USA. UL listed. The complete pond filter is designed for ease of use and simplicity and can be used with any submersible pump. The Pondmaster 1000 can be used in as little as six inches of water and with submersible pumps that have a flow rate of up to 500 gallons per hour. The convenient handle makes it easy to take the filter out of the water and quick disconnects allow for easy removal from pump sources. Modular design allows units to be connected together for high capacity. Dual filter elements offer particle filtering and chemical filtration of certain harmful compounds and unwanted colors. The Pondmaster 1000 rests on the bottom of the pond and is designed to connect to the intake of a submerged pump by use of a flexible vinyl hose. The Pondmaster comes complete with a swivel connector to attach to the filter's outlet. The other end of the connector accepts standard 3/4" ID (inside diameter) flexible vinyl tubing. In larger ponds, a longer piece of tubing can be used so that the filter can be moved as needed to collect debris in the pond while the pump unit remains stationary. The Pondmaster 1000 has two layers of filtering media that combine to filter both solid debris and chemical substances from the pond water. Pond water is first drawn into a coarse white polyester material which prefilters the water of larger particles. The second layer is a finer carbon impregnated filter material which filters smaller debris from the water; the activated carbon in this layer helps eliminate many harmful compounds as well as unwanted color from the pond water. The phosphates that are present in many water supplies join with the increased biological load present in most man made ponds to make a perfect breeding ground for algae. Decreasing the amount of bright sunlight your pond is exposed to and eliminating overfeeding of pond fish are two ways to help regulate algae growth, but no mechanical filtering system alone will eliminate algae growth. The sturdy handle makes it easy to lift the filter from the pond when its time to clean the filter. Coarse polyester filter is excellent for mechanical filtration of particles and the fine carbon-impregnated polyester filter is for chemical filtration. Because of its modular design, two or more Pondmasters can be teed together for larger volume pumps. Supreme Mag-Drive Utility Pump: The utility pump is a magnetically driven centrifugal pump. It has no seals to wear out and contains no oil. The utility pump can be used submerged or in-line. In-line means connections can be directly made to the pump inlet and outlet ports, which have 1/2" not threads. This is a centrifugal pump which cannot pull water up from a lower level. In order to start, pump must be lower than water level. All electrical components are encapsulated in epoxy with no seals to wear or break. Energy used is approximately 1/2 of regular motor driven pumps of equal size. For convenience, both pump head and the mounting base can be rotated to any of four different positions. Prefilter: An optional prefilter is supplied with the pump. Typical uses are when emptying aquariums, wet-dry salt water sumps, and pumping swimming pool covers to prevent blockage by leaves. Pump Cover: The four screws which hold the housing may be removed to rotate the outlet. Do not lose "O" ring which seals housing. Inline Piping: Do not use any glues or solvents to connect the pump's threaded fittings. Use only teflon pipe tape. The pump housing is not designed to support the weight of long pipe runs or correct misaligned pipes. A pump connected to properly supported pipe need not be fastened itself. Service and Maintenance: The housing occasionally should be removed to clean and inspect the impeller. The impeller is the only serviceable item and can be pulled out of the body. Do not take the impeller apart. If it is worn or broken, the entire unit should be replaced. This will restore pump to original capacity. Pumps taken out of service with fluid inside run the risk of forming a crust which may prevent subsequent starting. Saltwater should be flushed out with fresh water. Always check cord for sharp bends which can cause premature cracking. Do not use cord to lift or move pump. Priming: Centrifugal pumps will not pump if the housing is filled with air. The inlet connection must be filled with water. Unless the air can freely escape from the outlet connection, the pump will not start. The pump will not draw water from a lower level. Caution: The materials used are intended to pump water only. It cannot be used to pump oils, solvents, or gasoline. Although pump will continue to run if there is no water, after 30 minutes permanent damage may occur.
Warranty: E G Danner Mfg. Inc. will repair or replace any Pondmaster 1000 pond filter found to be defective within one year of original purchase. This warranty does not cover the replaceable filtering material supplied with the pump as it is considered expendable. For warranty repair return only the part that is defective to our factory. Please include a dated proof of purchase and $2.50 for postage and handling. Damages or injuries resulting from negligence or misuse of the product are not covered by warranty.
