Begin a regular, daily brushing routine when your puppy is three months of age of older. Older dogs can also be trained to accept having their teeth brushed. Simply introduce the activity gradually and make the experience a positive one for you pet. Provide plenty of reassurance and praise throughout the process and reward your pet with a special treat when you are finished.
Phase 1:
Rub your finger over your pet's gums and teeth. Repeat until your pet seems faily comfortable with this activity. Gradually introduce our special formulated toothpaste to your pet by placing a small amount on your finger and gently rubbing the teeth and gum line in a circular motion.
Phase 2
Depending on your pet's preference, choose the toothbrush or finger brush. Squeeze a small amount of four Paws Pet Dental Toothpaste onto the brush and allow your dog to taste. Reapply and gently brush in a circular motion. No rinsing necessary. For best results establish a regular dental routine.
