Lamb Meal: No other animal protein is utilized. For pet owners who prefer the benefits of lamb meal.
Rice & Oatmeal: Eagle Pet limited the carbohydrates primarily to these two ingredients. Oatmeal is a natural source of high quality protein that is easily digestible by most animals. Nutritionists tell us it is also an ideal source of fiber. Eagle Pet's oatmeal is non-GMO, has not been irradiated, and contains no processing, chemical, nutritional, or medicinal additives. Brown rice enhances the carbohydrate contribution.
Brewers Yeast: This ingredient is a wonderful source of B vitamins. It contains 16 amino acids, 14 minerals, and 17 vitamins.
Extruder Cooked: The state-of-the-art process carefully cooks the food at one-half the temperature of most baked products.

Eating Healthier with Inclusion of the Wellness for Life Supplements
L. Acidophilus: This friendly bacteria is the culture found in yogurt. It is the reason many pet owners eat yogurt themselves and supplement their pet's diet with yogurt. Your dog's lower digestive tract contains both good and bad bacteria. L. acidophilus (and several others used in the formula) supplement the good bacteria on a daily basis. To maintain the effectiveness of the good bacteria, Eagle Pet adds it at the end of the cooking process, after the food has cooled.
Inulin & Beet Pulp: These ingredients provide food for the good bacteria, allowing them to thrive. It is not a food source for the bad bacteria (e. coli and salmonella). Beet pulp, when formulated correctly, is an ideal fiber source. Eagle Pet uses sugar beets (whitish in color, with sugar removed). Beet pulp does not turn a pet's coat red.
Digestive Enzymes: Eagle Pet's enzyme supplementation aids in the replacement of enzymes lost in the cooking process.

Feeding Instructions
It is more economical for you, and better for your dog, if you feed this diet dry. If you do moisten it, use warm water. Never use hot water and never place in a microwave as it will destroy the beneficial microorganisms.
For pet owners who wish to include an extra touch, add Eagle Pack canned food, with two to three times more meat then most other brands.
Remember to keep fresh water available at all times. Wash water and food bowls daily. Do not overfeed.
Amount of food consumed will vary based on breed, age, activity level, and environment.
Standard 8 oz. measuring cup holds approximately 3.8 oz. of this formula.
