100% natural, American-made, farm-raised crickets. No additives, no preservatives, just pure, tasty crickets.
Each order of crickets comes with detailed care instructions. Please read and follow these simple instructions – because a healthy cricket is a tasty cricket! During cold weather, crickets will be specially packaged to make sure they arrive alive and kickin’.Care Instructions
Remove the crickets from the box shortly after you receive them. Keep the egg crates or partitions from the box to use within your container – they provide climbing area for the crickets. You can also add paper towel rolls to your container to make it easier to catch the crickets.
Bulk crickets ½” and larger need to be kept in a container about 18-20 gallons in size. Rubbermaid makes good containers for this purpose, most of which will be slick enough on the inside to keep the crickets from climbing out. The container should be at least 15” in height. Crickets require ventilation, so don’t use a lid with the container. Crickets don’t require bedding material; using it can actually be detrimental to their health. Remove any left over potato that was used during shipping.
The ideal temperature range is between 70°F- 75°F with low humidity. Keep the container dry and keep plenty of ventilation. Avoid temperatures above 80°F and below 65°F. The container should not be exposed to high humidity, direct sunlight or cold drafts. Crickets shipped during cols weather should be immediately released into the comtainer and allowed 3-4 hours to warm up.
Keep no more than a 2 day supply of cricket food and gelled water in the container at a time. Both items should be offered to your crickets in shallow containers, and replaced every two days. Avoid fruits, vegetables, and bowls of water, which can attract fruit flies and promote bacterial growth.
When cleaning your cricket container between shipments, remove any dead crickets and waste, and the wash the container with hot water. A very mild bleach solution can be used. Thoroughly rinse the container and allow it to dry before adding a new batch of crickets. Never expose your crickets or cricket container to any kind of pesticides.
Your order is guaranteed to arrive alive, correct and complete -- 100% satisfaction guaranteed! Cricket orders are covered by a 72-hour health guarantee.
