Conversion, Feeding & Care Instructions
Birds often require a conversion period to get familiar with new foods. When introducing a bird to a new food, begin with a mixture of the old and new foods, gradually increasing the amount of the new food over a seven to ten day period. This will prevent digestive upsets as well as allowing your cockatiel to adjust to something new. Best results are obtained by feeding only the amount your bird will consume in one day.
Product separation may occur during handling, so be sure to mix before offering to your pet.
Daily Feeding Amount
cockatiel and lovebird: 2 to 4 tablespoons
conure and small parrot: 1/8 to 1/4 cup
Adjust the portions to maintain proper weight and if additional birds are fed. Discard any uneaten food and clean dish before each feeding. This food may cause a change in color of your bird's droppings but they should be well formed.
