Proper Use and Maintenance Information
- This unit is designed for commercial use. It is normal for the unit to become somewhat warm during normal use.
- Avoid pressing the blades strongly against the skin, being especially careful around the ears. The blades should be directed toward the skin at a right angle but without a great deal of pressure.
- Oiling Your Clipper. Put a drop of Wahl oil on tips of the blade while the unit is running. Oil should be applied at least once a day. Always hold clipper in a downward position so that oil does not enter into the unit.

- To clean the unit, use either a clean, dry or dampened cloth. Do not use benzene or thinner to clean the unit.
- Do not store the clipper in a wet or moist environment.
- To prolong blade life, do not use clipper on hair that is coated with a permanent wave solution or hairspray.
- Do not touch any of the internal mechanisms. If the unit should need repair, do not attempt to repair it yourself. The appliance has no user serviceable parts. Return it to Wahl Clipper Corp.

Standard Blade Removal and Installation
Removing and Cleaning Blades
To remove the blades, hold the clipper firmly in your hand. Using your thumb, simply push the blades away from the front of the clipper. The blades and the mounting plate behind them will all come off in one piece.
To clean hair that may have become clogged between the blades, brush between the blades with the cleaning brush provided. Always be sure to oil the blades after cleaning. See #3 above.
Before replacing the blades on the clipper, make sure that the two spring wires are firmly seated in the notches provided and that the top blade moves freely. If these springs are not firmly seated, your clipper will not function properly and may make a very loud noise.
Replacing Blade
To replace the blades, place the hook at the bottom of the blade set into the space provided on the clipper housing. Once it is seated, snap blade set to case. You will hear a click when the blades are fully in place.
Texturizing/Notching Blade Installation and Removal Tool (Optional)
Caution: When installing the texturizing/notching blade, take care not to apply force at the tips of the teeth with your fingers. Injury may result. Apply any necessary force below the blade teeth.

If your unit does not include the texturizing/notching blade and blade removal tool, order from your beauty supply dealer or directly from Wahl.
Apply force in the direction shown (in instruction manual). Note how the removal tool is positioned over the blade teeth and cupped in the hand to assure retention of the blade when the clipper body is gently pried away from the blades.
