Directions: Start with a clean, empty litter box and pour in Fresh Step to a depth of two to three inches. Additional Fresh Step is recommended if the litter box is used by more than one cat. Empty the entire litter box as needed, usually about once a week. Dispose in trash. Remove solid waste between complete litter box changes. Sprinkling additional Fresh Step in the litter box each time you remove solid waste will help keep the litter box fresh. Dispose of solid waste and used litter in the trash. Do not flush down the toilet or drain.
The manufacturer would like to remind their customers, especially pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, that cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, always remember to wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. For further information, consult your physician. Unused cat litter poses no toxoplasmosis threat.
