Fancy Hamsters

Fancy hamsters, also known as a fancy version of a Syrian hamster, include multiple color variations. These have long been a popular pet choice. They are easy to care for, stay relatively small and don’t forget how cute they are! Fancy hamsters are slower moving than some of the dwarf hamster varieties that have grown in popularity in recent years, making them a bit easier to handle. Watching them stuff their cheeks is entertaining, and their chubby bodies are endearing. Don't let their sleeping fool you; hamsters are active and energetic animals that love an exercise wheel or run-about ball. Like other small animals, hamste's have teeth that grow continuously throughout their life, so they should be provided with chew sticks to prevent the teeth from becoming overgrown. They love to crawl through tubes and a fancy hamster is sure to tunnel its way straight into your heart!
