Chinese Dwarf Hamsters

Chinese Dwarf Hamsters are small, slender and very quick. They are most easily recognized by their hairless tail, which is unlike any other hamster species. They are not actually part of the dwarf hamster family, but because of their size have been grouped with them. Chinese hamsters are thought to be the friendliest of all the dwarf species. Although hamsters sleep a good portion of the day, don't let their sleeping fool you; Chinese dwarf hamsters are especially active and energetic animals that love an exercise wheel, run-about ball and anything else they can expend their energy on. Like other small animals, hamsters have teeth that grow continuously throughout their life, so they should be provided with chew sticks to prevent the teeth from becoming overgrown. Chinese hamsters have grown in popularity due to their friendly nature and ease of care.
