Dwarf Hamsters

Dwarf hamsters have become more and more popular in recent years. These hamsters stay much smaller than a Syrian hamster and are much more active. They are very quick and require handling to tame or slow them down. Although hamsters sleep a good portion of the day, don't let their sleeping fool you; hamsters are active and energetic animals that love an exercise wheel or run-about ball. Like other small animals, hamsters have teeth that grow continuously throughout their life, so they should be provided with chew sticks to prevent the teeth from becoming overgrown. Dwarf hamsters are available in normal and fancy coloration variations.
