Leopard Frog

Leopard Frogs are known for the spotted pattern that covers their back and legs. They are an active, medium size frog that requires both land and water. In nature they can most commonly be found in ponds, marshes, streams and even in grassland areas. You can keep them in 10-gallon or larger terrariums. However the more space they have the more active they tend to be.

Please note: It is important to wash your hands before and after holding or interacting with a frog. This important for their safety and yours.

Wearing latex gloves while handling amphibians will not only protect you from salmonella and other potential toxins secreted by the amphibian, it also protects the amphibian from any oils, salts, lotions, or perfumes on your hand. Gloves should be worn every time you handle your pet amphibian. Washing your hands before and after will also help prevent the potential to spread diseases such as salmonella, of which all amphibians are potential carriers.
