Grey Tree Frog

Grey Tree Frogs, like Green Tree Frogs, are found throughout the United States and have very similar care requirements. They also enjoy hiding during the daytime and require plenty of décor for climbing and hiding. It is also important to provide an ample, clean water bowl. These frogs are rather quick and prefer not to be handled, but keep them in a beautifully décorated terrarium and enjoy their barking and chirping sounds.

Wearing latex gloves while handling amphibians will not only protect you from salmonella and other potential toxins secreted by the amphibian, it also protects the amphibian from any oils, salts, lotions, or perfumes on your hand. Washing your hands before and after will also help prevent the potential to spread diseases such as salmonella, of which all amphibians are potential carriers.
