Fat Tail Gecko

African Fat Tail Geckos are sometimes confused with Leopard Geckos, and while they may look similar, there are differences. These geckos have a slightly broader head and a wider tail. They are a nocturnal, terrestrial geckos and require one or more hiding places. Like Leopard Geckos, they can easily be kept in 20-gallon terrariums. They enjoy a slightly higher humidity than their Leopard Gecko cousins and should be kept on a substrate that is able to hold some humidity, like a bark or mulch. Mixing this substrate with sand is a great way to give a natural look to your terrarium as well. These geckos are also docile, slightly slower than Leopard Geckos and easy to handle, making them a great pet.
