Also known as Closed Brain Coral or Moon Coral.
The Blue Eye Moonstone is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral deriving from an assortment of Faviidae corals coming in a wide array of colors. Blue Eye Moonstone has neon blue eyes that are strongly fluorescent under actinic lighting. It thrives under moderate light intensities and water flow. This coral has feeding tentacles capable of stinging nearby coral, so adequate spacing should be provided when placing it next to other coral. It is capable of eating prey items as large as mysis shrimp and will benefit from frequent feedings when the polyps are extended. Benefits from the addition of trace elements strontium and calcium. It is also important to maintain stable alkalinity and magnesium levels.
