With strong lighting and good currents, the Kenya Tree Coral becomes a great addition to any reef tank. This multi-branched, small polyped coral has a body similar to a tree with a thick trunk and somewhat thinner branches. This is a semi-aggressive coral, so adequate space should be given to this species, as it can damage its tankmates. During shipping, it is normal for the coral to be small and pulled in. It is highly recommended that the secretion be rinsed off in sea water before adding the coral to a tank. It does require more food than other corals, as it relies less on its photosynthetic algae within.
