Marineland Reef Capable LED Aquarium Lighting System is powered by energy efficient 1 watt LE's that provide the correct intensity and spectral output to maintain reef aquariums. As an energy efficient system, these special aquarium light hoods do not require any bulb replacement. This cutting edge reef lighting system is Marineland's top-of-the line option for the best reef lighting with the most stylized appearance available. Standing less than 1" tall, these reef fish tank lights have 50,000 lifetime hours, which allows you to save money on energy consumption and bulb replacement. The combination of these high-end LED's along with a specially engineered polycarbonate lens maximize light penetration and provide a unique "shimmer" effect that replicates natural sunlight better than any fluorescent fixture would be able to. This true spectral match also helps to provide "clean" lighting without any undesirable yellow hues. Featuring two modes of lighting- daytime (white and blue LED's) and lunar (blue LED's only), this lighting system also has an off mode. The expandable wire frame legs allow for adjustment, should you change the aquarium size used. Integrated heat sink pulls heat away from LED's and aquarium.
