Also known as the Spine Cheek Anemonefish, Spine Cheek Clown, Gold Stripe Clown, Iga ni bubula (Solomon Islands), Giro balong strip kuning (Indonesia), Palata (Philippines), or Samtkorallenfisch (Germany).
Inhabiting the outer reefs and lagoons in the wild, the Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish looks very similar to the Maroon Clownfish as a juvenile, but will eventually gain its yellow stripes as it matures. A great addition to any reef tank, this species is normally found in pairs where males are smaller than the females. Although not necessary, this fish can be associated with Bubbletip Anemones (Entacmaea quadricolor). This fish is also aggressive towards other clownfish.
