Operating instructions
Important information
The following safety advice must be followed when using electrical equipment:

Only connect the equipment to an AC supply. Note the rated voltage on the rating plate.
Never touch electrical equipment which has fallen into water. Pull out the mains plug immediately.
Never use electrical equipment in the bath or shower.
Always position or store electrical equipment where it can not fall into water. Avoid electrical equipment coming into contact with water and other liquids.
Always disconnect the mains plug immediately after use except when charging.
Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning the equipment.
Never leave the equipment unsupervised if children or disabled people are nearby.
Only use the equipment for the proper purpose described in the operating instructions. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
Never use the equipment if the cable or plug-in transformer are damaged. In addition, do not use the equipment if it is not working correctly, if it is damaged or if it has fallen into water. In these cases send the equipment to our Service Center to be inspected and repaired.
Do not hold the equipment by the mains cable when carrying it and do not use the cable as a handle.
Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces.
Make sure that the cable of the equipment is not twisted or kinked when charging or storing.
Never insert or allow any objects to fall into the openings of the equipment.
Never use the charging stand outdoors.
Never use the equipment where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being released.
To protect against injuries, never use the equipment if the cutting set is damaged.
Do not use disposable batteries. Rechargeable battery unit can only be obtained from authorized Service Centers.
Before the equipment is used for the first time it should be charged for 16 hours.
The equipment is safety-insulated and radio-screened. Exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries should not be disposed in household waste. Dispose of them in accordance with legal regulations.
Charging the rechargeable battery
Plug in the plug-in transformer into the socket.
Ensure that the equipment is switched off, otherwise it cannot be charged.
Place the equipment on the charging stand. Whilst charging, the charge indicator is illuminated. When the equipment has been removed from the charging stand, the charge indicator light is extinguished.
Recommendation: only recharge the equipment when its performance has deteriorated noticeably. Longer charging times will not damage the equipment.
It takes approximately 16 hours for the equipment to be fully charged.
Operation of rechargeable battery
Using the ON/OFF switch, switch on the device, then switch off again after use.
With the battery fully charged, the equipment can be operated for a maximum of 70 minutes without the mains supply.
Cutting with attachment comb
Depending on the desired length of the hair cut, the equipment can be operated with or without the attachment comb. The attachment comb has five settings, which are used to determine the length of the hair. The further the attachment comb is pressed into the equipment, the shorter the cutting length. In this way, the cutting length can be set to between 3mm and 6mm.
Attaching / removing attachment comb
Insert the attachment comb onto the equipment in the direction of the arrow until it locks into position.
The attachment comb can be removed by pushing it in the direction of the arrow.
Cleaning and care
Do not immerse equipment in water.
Remove the attachment comb after each use and remove residual hairs from the housing opening and cutting set using the cleaning brush. First remove the set and press the cleaning lever. This makes it easy to remove residual hairs from between the clipping comb and blade with the cleaning brush.
The charging contacts on the equipment and charging stand must always be kept clean.
Only wipe the equipment with a soft or slightly damp cloth. Never use solvents or scouring agents.
The cutting set may be cleaned with a hygienic spray order no. 1854-7935.
For long-lasting, good cutting performance it is important to oil the cutting set frequently. Only use the cutting set oil order no. 4005-7050.
If the cutting performance drops after long use despite regular cleaning and oiling the cutting set should be replaced.
After the equipment has been used and cleaned, the attachment comb also serves as a blade guard.
