Also known as the Bird Nose Wrasse, Brown Bird Wrasse, Ilava ki vuaka (Fiji), Gutu'umi (Samoa), or Papae (Tahiti).
The Green Bird Wrasse does best with other aggressive fish, such as puffers, small triggers, eels, tangs, large angels, and surgeonfish. This fish uses its long beak'like nose to catch its prey. Found in depths of 6 feet to 90 feet in the wild.
As this is an extremely active fish, this species does best in a long tank with plenty of swimming room, rocks for hiding, and a very tight fitting lid. This jumper should be the last addition to any tank as it does not tolerate new tank mates, and will harass any and all new fish. Not recommended with any types of crustaceans including, but not limited to, crabs or shrimp.
