Also known as Swartrug-vlindervis (South Africa -Afrikaans), Bagang (Malaysia), Dhon bibi (Maldives), or Akebono-chôchô-uo (Japan).
As with any Butterflyfish, this species may refuse to eat if picked on or bullied. Therefore, this beautiful and hardy species does best with peaceful tank mates. Use caution in reef tanks as this fish will eat invertebrates. The Blackback Butterfly is great for keeping the Glass, or Aiptasia Anemone from live rock.
