Blueface Angel

Blueface Angel –Saltwater Aquarium Fish also known as the Yellowface Angelfish

Also known as the Yellowmask Angelfish, Yellowface Angelfish, Poisson-ange à front jaune (Maldives - French), Kukuraa kokaa (Maldives - Maldivian), Paru-parang dagat (Philippines), Adeyakko (Japan) and Taring pelandok (Malaysia)

Give your saltwater aquarium a dash of color by adding a Blueface Angel. This bold, beautiful saltwater aquarium fish can be the sapphire jewel of your underwater masterpiece.

The Blueface Angel is also known as a Yellowface angelfish. These names come from the fish’s striking colors. Adult Yellowface angelfish sport a bright yellow mask around the eyes surrounded by sapphire blues and blacks. The rest of the adult’s body is usually a mix of pale yellows and blues with a sunny yellow tail and pectoral fins. These bright yellows and electric blues make the Blueface Angel a brilliant addition to your aquarium.

Like many angelfish, the Blueface changes its coloring as it matures into an adult. The difference between an adult and juvenile is remarkable. A juvenile will display blue, black and white stripes that will eventually change into the bright yellows and blues of the adult.

Angelfish are solitary, territorial fish that startle easily, especially in a crowded environment. Aquarists need to take care in matching this angelfish with compatible saltwater aquarium fish. It is best that this angelfish be the only angel in the tank. Additionally, these large angelfish enjoy a lot of space, medium to large aquariums are recommended. Angelfish will feel more secure if you provide plenty of live rock so they can have ample hiding spots. If you have a reef tank, know that Angelfish tend to nip at corals and clam mantles.

The beauty and delightful coloring of this saltwater aquarium fish makes it a true treasure for your aquarium.
