PETCO Bucket
PETCO's own blue bucket! This multi-use heavy-duty plastic container with lid can be used for transporting fish, mixing salt water, holding aquatic nets, water changes, holding aquatic parts and almost anything else. It's also great for washing your car!
If using this bucket for aquarium use, it should be used only for aquarium use. So, you may need to pick up two, three or four!
If using this bucket for aquarium use, then it should be used ONLY for aquarium use. Soap, detergents, and most other chemicals not designed for aquarium uses are dangerous to fish even in small amounts.Water Change Instructions:
Doing regular water changes is vital to the health of your aquarium and aquatic pets. Water changes should be done every two to four weeks, or as needed to maintain proper water quality.
- Using a gravel vacuum or siphon, remove 10-25% of the aquarium water.
- Vacuum or siphon the water from the gravel to remove dirt and debris that has settled.
- Be sure to use water conditioner, sold separately, to detoxify water that is put back in the aquarium and add protective slime coat, sold separately.
- To ensure that your aquarium's biological stability is maintained, don't clean or replace your filter media on the same day that you do your water change.
- Test your water regularly.
Warning:
Children can fall into bucket and drown. Keep children away from bucket with even a small amount of liquid.
Note:
Inspect product on a regular basis to ensure there are no cracks or leaks.
Lid fits tightly and must be put on as follows: Seat lid flat on bucket, then press or hit with mallet progressing in numerical order, (see packaging for details).
