TetraPond Sludge Reducer
TetraPond Sludge Reducer adds beneficial bacteria, that produce enzymes, to the pond bottom to degrade organic debris and reduce sludge build-up. By minimizing sludge, water clarity is improved since turbulence caused by swimming fish can agitate sludge and cloud water. Sludge Reducer is particularly useful in ponds with stones at the bottom where netting or vacuuming debris is impractical.
Safe for use in ponds with fish and plants. Treats 16,000 gallons.
Before Using: As much as practical, remove debris from pond bottom with a fine mesh net or pond vacuum.pH Conditions: Works best in a pH range of 6.0-8.5 with 7.0 being ideal.
Provide aeration to the pond with fountain, waterfall or pump. Keep pump(s) running 24 hours a day.
Storage: Keep out of the reach of children. Keep container tightly closed when not in use.
Directions: Calculate pond gallons using the following formula: L(ft) X W(ft) X Average Depth = Cubic Feet. Cubic Feet * 7.5 = pond gallons.
Regular Maintenance: Dose every 2 weeks: One teaspoon treats 180 gallons. One tablespoon treats 540 gallons. One level capful treats 750 gallons.
Pond Start Up: Dose every week for 4 weeks. Two teaspoons treats 180 gallons. Two tablespoons treats 540 gallons. Two level capfuls treats 750 gallons.
End of Season Shut Down: Dose once a week for 4 weeks. One teaspoon for every 100 gallons.
