To kill fleas and all stages of brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, lone star ticks, and deer ticks (which may carry Lyme disease), apply to dogs or puppies (8 weeks or older) as follows:
- Remove applicator from child-resistant package.
- Hold applicator upright and snap applicator tip away from face and body.
- Place applicator tip through animal's hair to the skin level between the shoulder blades.
- Squeeze applicator, applying entire contents in a single spot to the animal's skin. Avoid superficial application to the animal's hair. Only one applicator per treatment is needed.
FREQUENCY OF APPLICATION
When used monthly, FRONTLINE® Plus for Dogs completely breaks the flea life cycle and controls tick infestations. Research demonstrates that FRONTLINE® Plus kills adult fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae for up to three months. FRONTLINE® Plus also prevents development of all flea stages for up to three months. FRONTLINE® Plus kills ticks for at least one month. A once monthly application is recommended where tick control is needed. Although FRONTLINE® Plus can control fleas for up to three months, if there is a high risk of reinfestation or if the pet has fleas which may cause flea allergy dermatitis, a once monthly application may be needed.
FRONTLINE® Plus for Dogs remains effective even after bathing, water immersion, or exposure to sunlight. Avoid contact with treated area until dry. Do not reapply FRONTLINE® Plus for 30 days.

FURminator deShedding Tool
Call 1-800-660-1842 for 24-hour assistance.
Please read all instructions carefully before using the tool. The FURminator deShedding Tool is to be used only as directed to stop shedding problems.
Directions For Use
- Be sure your dog or cat has a clean coat that is completely dry. For best results, we recommend using the FURminator deShedding Tool immediately after washing and drying your dog or cat.
- Because the FURminator deShedding process will extract an abundance of hair, position your dog or cat in an area that is easy to sweep or vacuum.
- With the stainless steel teeth of the tool angled toward the coat of your dog or cat, gently pull the tool across the coat in the direction of the pet’s hair growth. Use the tool like a hair brush and stroke across, up and away from your pet’s skin. Use long, gentle strokes with the tool and avoid excessive strokes in the same area. Be extra careful near the pet’s most sensitive areas (stomach, leg, genital, anus). Do not apply too much weight or downward pressure as you comb through the pet’s coat. Deep or rough brushing can cause your pet’s skin to become red and irritated, and pets with sensitive skin may suffer brush burns even with light combing. If you notice any redness or irritation on your pet’s skin, immediately stop using the tool.
Special Notes
The time required to use the FURminator deShedding Tool on your dog or cat will vary based on the breed of your pet and condition on their coat.
Before using the deShedding Tool, perform a complete physical inspection of your dog or cat to identify:
- Tangles or matting in their hair or coat…if your dog or cat has any tangles or matting in their hair or coat, do not use the FURminator deShedding Tool. Take your pet to a certified pet grooming salon for professional treatment.
- Sores, cuts, bruises, abrasions or skin conditions…your pet’s coat can hide existing sores, cuts, bruises, abrasions or skin conditions, so be sure to perform a thorough inspection on your dog or cat. If your dog or cat has any sores, cuts, bruises, abrasions or skin conditions do not use the FURminator deShedding Tool. Take your pet to a Veterinarian for professional treatment.
Excessive shedding may be caused by a pet’s health and diet and should be discussed with a veterinarian. The FURminator deShedding Tool is designed to be used only on "shedding" breeds of dogs and cats. The FURminator deShedding Tool should not be used on non-shedding breeds of dogs and cats. Consult a Veterinarian to determine if your dog or cat is considered a shedding or non-shredding breed. Use this Cat & Dog Grooming Brush to help stop shedding problems.
