Solid Gold Indigo Moon Holistic Cat Food is a high protein, low carbohydrate, completely grain and gluten free diet designed to more closely resemble the nutrient composition of a cat's natural diet. Our formula contains no wheat, corn, soybean, by-products or sunflower oil, no added animal fat (other than naturally occurring in fresh chicken), sugar or artificial preservatives. Our Holistic diet is made with high quality chicken meal, fresh chicken and ocean fish which is extremely palatable, even to the most discerning cat. Plus, we've made a specially sealed bag for super fresh and delicious cat food for cats of all life stages.
Introduce a new cat food gradually. Cats smell their food before they eat it; if it does not smell familiar they will not eat it. Begin by adding a few kibbles of Indigo Moon in with the old food. Increase the proportion of the new food every few days.These recommendations should be used as guidelines only. Feeding amounts vary from breed to breed and can be adjusted according to an individual cat's energy requirements.
We recommend splitting the following daily amounts (cups) between 2 feedings: Cats weighing 3-5 lbs. 1/3-1/2 cups per day. 5-10 lbs. 1/2-2/3 per day. 10-15 lbs. 2/3-1 cups per day. 15-20 lbs. 1-1 1/4 cups per day. Amounts may be doubled for pregnant or nursing cats.
Kittens—weaning to 20 weeks: 1-3 lbs. 1/3-1 cups, 3-5 lbs. 1 1/2 cups, 5-7 lbs. 1 ½-2 cups. 5-7 months: 1-3 lbs. 1/3-3/4 cups, 3-5 lbs. ¾-1 cups, 5-7 lbs. 1- 1 1/3 cups, 7-9 lbs. 1 1/3- 1 ¾ cups. 7-10 months: 1-3 lbs. ¼-2/3 cups, 3-5 lbs. 2/3-1 cups, 5-7 lbs. 1-1 1/4 cups, 7-9 lbs. 1 ¼-1 ½ cups, 9-12 lbs. 1 ½- 1 ¾ cups. 10-12 months: 1-3 lbs. ¼-1/2 cups, 3-5 lbs. ½-2/3 cups, 5-7 lbs. 2/3-3/4 cups, 7-9 lbs. ¾-1 cups, 9-12 lbs. 1 -1 1/4 cups.
