Laguna Foam Media is specifically designed for use inside the Laguna PowerFlo Mechanical (PT-500) and Biological (PT-505) Underwater Filters. The coarse foam material performs mechanical filtration, capturing dirt and debris as water flows through it. The foam is also porous to allow some degree of biological filtration.
Rinse in fresh, clean water before use. Rinse well in pond water every month to maintain some biological capacity. Replace every 6 months.
