It is important to keep pH values stable. Fluctuations of more than 0.5 can be very stressful. Fluctuating pH levels can indicate poor buffering capacity. In this case the KH (carbonate hardness) should be verified and corrected if necessary with Pond pH Adjust Up until the desired KH value is obtained. When increasing the KH, it is recommended to also verify the pH to ensure changes do not exceed 0.5. It is recommended to test regularly using pH and Hardness Test Kits, sold separately, and use Laguna pH Adjust Up to provide safe and stable pH and Carbonate Hardness (KH). Includes an easy to use measuring cap for accurate dosage.
Use a Hardness Test Kit to verify the KH level. If the KH value is below 50 mg/L (ppm), add pH Adjust Up at the rate of 50 ml/265 US gal. (1,000 L). Avoid changing the KH by more than 20 mg/L per day. Maintain a KH level between 50 and 120 mg/L (ppm), always verify the pH after every dosage and avoid changing pH levels by more than .5 per day. NOTE: Wait 30-60 minutes before testing pond water after dosing with pH Adjust Up.
