Solvit's PupSTEP + Plus pet stairs are an attractive, affordable way to help pets reach their favorite places. The PupSTEP Stairs feature an attractive design with neutral colors, so they blend well with most any décor. Plus, our stairs weigh only 5 lbs., so they are highly portable, yet they will support 120 lbs. The durable indoor/outdoor carpet and plastic construction can be cleaned easily with soap and water. No assembly required, simple set up and folds down quickly for easy storage. In addition, we have included safety side rails built into the design so your pet can climb up and down with confidence. Place them next to a couch or bed and pets can come and go as they please. The stairs can also be used to help pets access the back seat of an automobile, which can't be done with existing pet ramps on the market.
CAUTION: The PupSTEP + Plus stairs are intended for small-medium size pets only. Not intended for human use or for carrying heavier loads. Please follow this guideline strictly.Step one – position the back leg in the locked position: Simply swing out the back leg section (which is folded under the main stair section) until both of the locking tabs are engaged in their respective windows in the locking rib section. To ease the engagement of the locking tab into the window, press down gently on the button on the locking tab arm.
Step two – attach stair treads: There should be four adhesive-backed tread covers included with your stairs. Working one step at a time, peel the backing off each tread piece and press firmly into the recessed area on each plastic step. Hold pressure for a few seconds before moving to the next piece. Repeat until all four tread pieces are installed. Your stairs should now look like the image on the carton.
Step three – attach non-slip feet (optional): Attach the non-slip feet only if the stairs will be used on a slick surface, such as wood flooring. Peel the backing from each piece and press firmly into the recessed area at the corners on the underside of the stairs. Repeat for all four corners.
Storage: The PupSTEP + Plus can be re-folded into the closed position for storage or travel. To do this, simply press the release button located on both locking tabs located on the upper part of the back leg.
Cleaning: Promptly wipe up any foreign matter or liquid with a damp cloth or sponge.
