FEEDING YOUR ADULT CAT
Use the recommended amount to fill your cat’s bowl in the morning and let her enjoy Pet Promise all day, instead of at scheduled feeding times. If this
amount causes weight loss or weight gain, adjust the amount to meet your cat’s age,
activity and environment. Find the amount that helps keep your cat at a
healthy weight, where you can easily feel her ribs to help impact her lifelong health.
FEEDING YOUR KITTEN
You can feed young kittens (three to four weeks old) moistened Pet Promise as soon as they are ready to nibble on solid food. Once your kitten is weaned
(six to eight weeks old) feed Pet Promise to your kitten either moistened with water or dry. If you moisten the food, use no more than one part warm (not
hot) water to two parts Pet Promise
and remove after your kitten eats to ensure freshness.
FEEDING FOR PREGNANT & NURSING CATS
Pet Promise Daily Health formula is also a great food for reproducing and nursing females. Expect a pregnant or lactating cat to increase food consumption.
This is normal, but make sure that your cat is still in a healthy weight range for her stage of gestation or lactation. After the kittens are born, feed the
nursing female all she wants to eat because food intake can double or quadruple during lactation.
WHEN YOU SWITCH TO PET PROMISE FROM ANOTHER FOOD
Changing diets requires an adjustment for the digestive system, so transition slowly over seven to ten days. You’ll just slowly feed less of your current
food and more Pet Promise each day, until you’re only feeding Pet Promise.
