Tessalata Eel (aka Honeycomb Moray Eel)
Due to its honeycomb-looking markings, the Tessalata Eel is also known as the Honeycomb Moray Eel. While saltwater eels have an excellent sense of smell, their eyesight is less than spectacular, to put it lightly. Despite the poor eyesight they manage to be good escape artists so a tightly fitted tank lid is vital. Eels have a snake-like body and vary in colorations. Use caution when in a reef tank as this eel will eat small fish and invertebrates.
Feed a variety of feeder fish, krill, shrimp, squid, or other meat based food.
