Gold Gourami
Also known as Trey kawmphleanh samrai (Cambodia), Sepat iju (Indonesia), Gourami bleu (France), Toplettet Gurami (Denmark), Pa ka dout (Laos), or Pla ka di mor (Thailand).
The Gourami is a tropical freshwater fish ideally suited for any community aquarium and must breathe from the water's surface as it is an anabantid. The Gold Gourami is similar to the Blue Gourami, but it has contrasting shades of orange with rust markings. As with the Blue Gourami, the Gold Gourami is a color morph of the three-spot Gourami. This particular Gourami does best in aplanted tank with driftwood, rocks and several hiding spots. It can be housed with similar-sized fish with similar temperaments.
