Calico Shubunkin Goldfish
The word shubunkin literally translates to &#quot;red brocade&#quot; in Japanese. Also known as Monbrun (Madagascar), Gibel Carp (Kazakhstan), Golden Carp (Australia), or Kam tsak (Hong Kong).
This shubunkin has a mottled appearance consisting of the colors black, red, orange and white. An excellent fish for the beginner goldfish tank, the Calico Shubunkin is very hardy and grow to a large size. Due to their torpedo-like body shape, they are also swift swimmers. Because of this, it is highly advised to ensure that all slower tank mates are fed properly.
