African Dwarf Frogs
These frogs are fully aquatic amphibians that never need to leave water. Their colors range from olive green to brownish green. When stationary, the African Dwarf Frog has been known to float in one spot, with its legs and arms completely outstretched, resting on one foot. This is a normal behavior called "burbling".
African Dwarf Frogs - Living Environment
Despite being fully aquatic, the African Dwarf Frog still needs to be able to reach the surface to breathe. Also, any tank deeper than three feet may be a challenge for this amphibian as they are not great swimmers. This particular species may be kept in a community tank with a secure cover to prevent escape and plenty of hiding spaces.
