There are three basic types of behaviors when it comes to dogs and their toys:
Light chewers – these dogs are gentle with toys and rarely ever destroy their toys, so can be trusted alone with little worry. But always know your dog before leaving them alone with ANY toy.
Typical chewers – this type of dog loves to play and will often carry toys around with them everywhere, but rarely stops to actually “chew” on the toys.
Aggressive chewers – these dogs like to rip, shred, pick or shear at their toys. These dogs need constant supervision and should never be left alone with toys. For destructive chewing habits, consult your vet or local dog training professional for guidance.
