It's hard to imagine from this photo but Sammy's life began neglected and abused, with massive scars and new wounds covering his body, including a four-inch laceration on his chin. Sammy was saved and cared for by Pet Rescue Center. While recovering from his own wounds, Sammy "saved it" forward by serving as a blood transfusion donor for another seriously injured dog found bleeding to death in a shopping center parking lot after ingesting rat bait. Despite all he has been through, Sammy has transformed into this handsome boy, and his calm demeanor and happy-go-lucky attitude bring transformation to others changing their beliefs about the bad reputation of pitbulls.
Phoenix's Story Phoenix, a 9 week old kitten was plucked from the ashes of a devastating fire still alive! Suffering from burnt paws, he was nursed back to health. He has risen beyond this shaky beginning to live happily in a loving forever home where he enjoys playing fetch and drowning his toys in his water dish.
This is a story of Hope...
Hope... a stray brindle pup roamed around Georgetown SC, all alone. Homeless and hungry, she depended on the kindness of strangers like the local high school baseball team. Unable to catch her, they left food for her under the bleachers where she came to watch them play. One day, the boys arrived on the field and their favorite mascot was brutally stabbed in the back. The team brought her to SFAC for care, and then rallied around Hope throwing fundraisers and visiting her weekly. Ready for adoption, Hope came to visit the team at the baseball field, and that is when the Coach told them the news -- he adopted Hope. Hope now attends every game in the bleachers, not under them.
