Tree of Hope
Tree of Hope is the PETCO Foundation’s annual holiday fundraising campaign and continues to be the largest source of revenue for the Foundation and the many local groups it assists. Donations collected during Tree of Hope go directly to animal welfare groups in the areas the donations are made so that they may continue their work in making better lives for animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and training.
This year we are proud to announce that Iams will again be our Tree of Hope sponsor. Iams is donating $1 per bag of Iams cat and dog food purchased to the PETCO Foundation.
Last year more than $3 million was raised during Tree of Hope. The goal for Tree of Hope 2009 is $3.5 million. This has been a tough year for the animals and our non profit partners and they need you now more than ever. You have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of thousands of homeless animals this holiday season.
The recipient animal welfare organizations are selected by each of our 1,000 stores. Stores choose up to two of PETCO Foundation Charitable Partners per store. In this way, donations collected at the register stay in the local community. On line partners have been chosen as well and will benefit from collections of donations through this section of the site as well as in the check out area of the cart.
PETCO PALS to match donations up to $100,000 for the total of all donations made in stores with a valid email address not previously provided. Promotion runs from 12/1/09 through 12/24/09. Member must be 16 years of age or older to participate.
