Give Homeless Pets Hope for the Holidays

Often shelters and rescues just need that additional $10 for food, $25 for training or $100 for medical to buy a homeless pet the extra time they need for their forever family to find them.

The holidays are a sad time to be alone but imagine being alone in a cage and uncertain where the next person who will give you love or time will come from. Millions of pets lean up against the edges of their kennels with sadness in their eyes.

Your donations can help replace that sadness with hope. Hope is nutritious food. Hope is a new leash on a quick walk in the sunlight, Hope is a new toy filled with yummy treats tossed in on Thanksgiving day. Hope is a new bed, a new blanket, a soft toy. Hope is the time the volunteers can spend loving on these animals, knowing that their basic needs have been met through your caring donations.

Tree of Hope is the Petco Foundation's annual holiday fundraising campaign and continues to be the largest source of revenue for the Foundation and the many local groups it assists. Donations collected in stores during Tree of Hope go directly to animal welfare groups in the areas the donations are made so that they may continue their work in making better lives for animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and training.

Last year more than $4 million was raised during Tree of Hope. This has been a tough couple of years for the animals and our non profit partners and they are grateful for your continued support and the priority that you've shown through your donations.

The Petco Foundation helps to support over 8,000 agencies, both large and small, who work hard to provide hope to the nameless and faceless masses who rely on us. It is these partners who give your gifts human faces, human hands and angel's wings.
