Each spring, the PETCO Foundation launches its Spring A Pet Fundraiser to help give pets in need a new beginning.
During the annual Spring A Pet Fundraiser, the PETCO Foundation encourages animal lovers to donate $5, $10 or $20 to animal welfare organizations nationwide.
The PETCO Foundation's 2008 Spring a Pet fundraiser ran from Sunday, March 30 through Sunday, May 4. The fundraiser encouraged pet lovers to purchase special Spring a Pet donation cards or round up their purchase.

Helping with the fundraising efforts this year were the makers of Pedigree dog food who donated $1 for each purchase of
Pedigree products of $10 or more.
Each
PETCO store selected an animal welfare organization to be the recipient of money raised at its location. In addition, a portion of all funds raised went into a regional pool to be used by other animal welfare partners throughout the year.
General donations can also be made to the PETCO Foundation.
