Did you know that there are 1.3 million blind people in the USA? Every 7 minutes someone in America becomes blind or visually impaired.
Guide Dogs improve the lives of the blind by creating opportunities for life-changing independence, and through community outreach and education programs. Guide Dogs provide safe mobility, loving companionship and the "miracle of independence" to the blind through the use of a guide dog.
How can you help?
- Buy specially marked bags of Natural Balance Lamb Meal and Brown Rice & Lamb Meal and Brown Rice Large Bites dog food, with Nicollette Sheridan's picture on them, and $1 for each bag purchased of will be donated to participating guide dog schools, up to $50,000.
- Donate on PETCO.com at Checkout in the month of September or at the register at any PETCO store through September 18th to benefit guide dog schools across the country.
100% of proceeds from these National Guide Dog Month activities will be donated to accredited guide dog training facilities across the country, as defined by the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF). Recipients will include:
