What You Should Know About PETCO
PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc., founded in 1965, serves pet parents and their companion animals in over 850 specialty pet food and supply stores in 49 states and the District of Columbia. It also serves pet parents online at www.petco.com.
PETCO is one of the most recognizable pet specialty retailers in the industry. The sponsorships selected must be compatible with the PETCO brand. As such, we only consider pet-related sponsorship opportunities.
The regional marketing offices control their respective sponsorship budgets. Thus, sponsorships that are regional or local in nature should be directed to the appropriate
Regional Marketing Coordinator.
Please note: If your sponsorship is purely charitable and related to animals (i.e. benefiting a non-profit organization) and you are requesting a grant, please contact the
PETCO Foundation. Please note the following guidelines for all other proposals.
Submitting an Event Sponsorship Proposal
Timeframe (Local or Regional)
To allow enough lead time for regional marketing sponsorships, a regional proposal must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the date of the event or project. PETCO will not consider proposals outside of this timeframe.
Timeframe (National - ALL PETCO STORES)
If you are proposing a national sponsorship, your proposal must be received 8 - 12 weeks prior to the event or project.
Proposal Submission
All applicants must complete the
PETCO Event Participation Proposal form (PDF). Due to the number of requests received, we cannot respond to all requests. If PETCO approves your event, you will also need to provide a completed
New Vendor form (PDF) and
W9 form (PDF).

Response Time
Requests are reviewed by PETCO Regional Marketing Coordinators on an ongoing basis. If the sponsorship is approved, your Regional Marketing Coordinator will contact you to begin the sponsorship process within 6-8 weeks. Due to the amount of requests, non pet-related event requests may not be answered.
