How It Works
As a PETCO P.A.L.S. member, you are automatically registered in both of PETCO's frequent purchase rewards programs when you purchase your first premium dry dog or cat food or first complete grooming service. If you participate in the Buy 10, Get 1 Bag Free Food Program, we keep track of the purchases made with your PETCO P.A.L.S. card and let you know how close you are getting to your Free Food coupon.

When you swipe your P.A.L.S. card or provide the phone number associated with your P.A.L.S card, your purchases are automatically accumulated. After you have purchased 10 bags of the same brand and size premium dry dog or cat food within a 12-month period, we will mail your Free Food coupon to the address we have listed for your P.A.L.S. card.

Similarly, our Buy 8, Get 1 Free Groom Program tracks your Full-Service Grooms or Baths. Again, when you swipe your P.A.L.S. card or provide the phone number associated with your card, your grooms or baths will automatically be added to your total. After 8 Full-Service Grooms or 8 Baths within a 12-month period, we'll mail your free Full-Service Groom or Bath coupon to the address we have listed for your P.A.L.S. card.

The FREE Food Program is only available in participating stores.

Eligible Grooming Services
All Full-Service Grooms and Baths (also referred to as "Bath and Brush") and Self-Service Grooms are included in the Buy 8, Get 1 Free Groom Program. They are counted separately from each other. For example, you would need to purchase 8 Full-Service Grooms to receive a coupon for one free Full-Service Groom. Similarly, you would need to purchase 8 Self-Service Grooms to receive a coupon for a free Self-Service Groom.



Checking Your Status

There are three ways to check your Free Food and Free Groom status:

  1. Your status should appear toward the bottom of your receipt along with your name and P.A.L.S. card number.
  2. You can check your status online.
  3. You may call PETCO Customer Relations at 1-888-824-7257.



    Online Purchases
    Unfortunately, online purchases made at PETCO.com do not count toward the Buy 10 Program.



    Receiving Your Coupon
    Free Food coupons are awarded approximately 4-6 weeks after the 10th bag is purchased.



    Lost Coupons
    Please call Customer Relations at 1-888-824-7257 and we can re-issue the lost coupon. It may take up to 3 weeks to arrive in the mail.



    Expired Coupons
    Please call Customer Relations at 1-888-824-7257 and we can re-issue the coupon with a new expiration date. It may take up to 3 weeks to arrive in the mail.



    Card Not Scanned at the Register
    If your P.A.L.S. card was not scanned at the register, you may fax your receipt to 858-784-3489 or mail a copy to the following address to receive proper credit:

    Linking Cards of the Same Household
    Please call Customer Relations at 1-888-824-7257. We can link your cards by verifying the correct address for your household and making sure the last names on the cards match. This will combine the cards into a household account and total the purchases for the household together. The household balance will be available on either P.A.L.S. card.
