Feeding Directions: Guinea Pigs are grazers and foragers, so their daily ration should be split into two portions. Feed one in the morning and one in the evening. This will encourage them to forage throughout the day. Daily Amounts: Growing 1-2 oz, adult 1-1 1/2 oz, pregnant 1-3 oz, lactating 1-3 oz. It is important to ensure that all ingredients in Gerty Guinea Pig are eaten so tht the correct quantity and balance of nutrients are absorved. If some ingredients are left, reduce the daily quantity of food until everything is eaten. Empty and clean the feeding dish daily. Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
Changing to Gerty Guinea Pig. Gerty Guinea Pig should be introduced gradually into your guine pig's diet to minimize the risk of digestive upsets that can often occur with abrupt changes of diet. Mix in the same feeding dish with your guinea pig's normal food. Slowly increase the quantity of the previous food over a 10 day period.
