Important Safety Instructions Warning-To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed, including the following: Read and follow all safety instructions . Danger- To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken in the use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs by yourself; return the appliance to an authorized service facility for service or discard the appliance. 1. A. If the appliance falls into the water, Don't reach for it! First unplug it and then retrieve it. If electrical components of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately. B. If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source. C. Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet. D. Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any manner. Inspect power cord insulation to be sure there are no cuts or exposed wire. If so, discard and order a new appliance. E. If, for unforeseen reasons, the appliance is allowed to run dry for an extended period of time, the appliance must be removed and examined under a strong light to determine if the plastic surfaces have been warped or melted. If so, discard and order a new appliance. F. To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting, position aquarium stand and tank to one side of the wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. A "drip loop", shown bellow, should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The "drip loop" is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent the cord below the level along the cord and comin contact with the receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet, Don't unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Then unplug and examine for presence of water in the receptacle. 2. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 3. To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters, reflectors, lamb bulbs, etc. 4. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect. 5. Do not use an appliance for other than intended use. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition. 6. Do not install or store appliance where it will be exposed to the weather or to temperatures below freezing. 7. Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely installed before operating it. 8. Read and observe all the important notices on the appliance. 9. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over or pulled.

Dear Customer, we thank You for choosing this quality product. Please read the following instructions very carefully for best understanding of the characteristics of this new, innovating product. Mini heater helps increase by a few degrees the water temperature of a mini aquarium (2-5 gal/8-20 L) compared to the room temperature where it is positioned. Do not plug in before reading carefully the following instructions
Installation Submerge the heater in the aquarium at least up to the connection with the electrical cord (fig.1) 2. Fix the heater, using the supplied suction cups, to the side of aquarium (fig 2A) or position it on the bottom. You can also cover it completely with gravel, Mini can operate in any position. 3. After positioning the heater, plug it in remembering to keep your hand sout of the aquarium. 4. During the summer season or if the room temperature reaches or exceeds 76 degrees F (24 degrees C) unplug the heater (fig.3).
Attention If the heater should operate in a partially dry or completely dry situation, it will not sustain any damage, but the heating element might reach a temperature as high as (176 degrees F) 80 degrees C. Check that the heater never works dry and be careful that it is not in contact with materials that can be damaged by the temperature in case it operates dry. Be certain that the heater is not in direct contact with the following: bottom of the tank, water plants, or other objects that might be damaged by the temperature.
By not following the safety instructions provided with this heater, constitutes misusse and may result in damage to the heater and/or environment.

    Before removing Mini from your tank, always disconnect it from the power supply and let is cool for approx. 5 minutes.
  • Do not operate the heater unless is completely submersed.
  • Never attempt to service or repair heater in any way.
  • Do not use and discard if either the cord or the heeater are damaged. Do not tamper or damage the surface of the heater with scissors, nails or any pointed/cutting object.
  • Do not place hands or any object in the aquarium tank while heater is connected to electrical mains and operating.
  • Always use heater with a thermometer; if water temperature should exceed 76 degrees F (24 degrees C), unplug heater.
  • Close supervision is necessary if the heater is used by children.
  • Do not yank the cord from the electrical outlet, hold the plug and pull from the outlet.
  • Do not use this heater for any use other than to increase the water temperature by a few degrees in a 2-5 gallon aquarium.
  • Make sure that the heater is properly installed before operating it.
  • Only use extension cord with proper electrical ratings.

Do not operate the heater:
  • Under an A/C vent
  • In direct sunlight
  • Near a heat source
  • Under a light source which is on for extended periods of time.
