Yellow Leather Coral
Unlike other leather corals, Sarcophyton elegans does not grow on a stalk. Instead, it grows very close to the substrate or rocks creating dazzling patterns of ruffles around its edges. These corals are normally collected in quite shallow areas where the water level rises and drops frequently, and the waves crash on top of the corals. Sufficient water flow is a must, but alternating or pulsating flow is the best.
