Clownfish are variety of hardy and fun species of saltwater fish that can add a touch of whimsy to your tank. They are easy to care for and don’t require a huge aquarium, which makes them an ideal option for beginner marine aquarists.
Ocellaris clownfish, with their bright orange bodies and three distinct white stripes, are one of the most popular types of this fish. Many other types of clownfish exist and can make wonderful aquatic pets. They come in varying shades of yellow, orange, red and black and usually have light bars or patches. They also have different temperaments. While the Ocellaris clownfish, for example, tends to be more of a community fish, the Cinnamon clownfish can be territorial and is happiest when housed without other fish of its species. The Cinnamon clownfish is known for the single white bar on its face. Other popular types of this fish include the Yellowstripe Maroon, Saddleback, Tomato and Sebae species.
