Jakks Pets® and the PETCO Foundation to Donate Free Pet Food to Pet Parents in Need
JAKKS to provide FREE pet food to pet owners at select PETCO locations throughout the Midwest
What: JAKKS Pets™, the pet division of leading U.S. toymaker JAKKS Pacific, Inc (Nasdaq: JAKK), and the PETCO Foundation (www.petcofoundation.org) team up to service pet parents, food banks and animal welfare groups throughout the Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland areas, which are especially affected by the U.S. recession. JAKKS will provide every pet parent with a FREE one week supply per pet of American Kennel Club (AKC) Baked Travel Convenience Meals for dogs or The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) Baked Travel Convenience Meals for cats at select PETCO locations.
Pets abandoned due to foreclosures have dramatically increased the number of animals in shelters throughout the country. In partnership with numerous local animal welfare organizations, JAKKS Pets and the PETCO Foundation will also host in-store adoption events in select PETCO locations. Every adopting family will go home with a FREE one month supply of AKC or CFA Baked Travel Convenience Meals complements of JAKKS Pets.
Who: Anyone in need of a recession buster for their pet. All pet parents are encouraged to bring their
furry four-legged canines and felines.
