All freshwater fish purchased at petco.com is guaranteed to stay alive for 30 days from the day it arrives at your home or we will gladly refund your money. All marine species, live rock and plants are guaranteed for 15 days from delivery.
Petco takes great care to ensure that the Live Fish & Rock you order arrives safely and in healthy condition. Petco will guarantee freshwater fish purchased at petco.com for 30 days from the date of delivery. All marine fish, invertebrates, corals and freshwater plants will be guaranteed for 15 days.
Returns or refunds cannot be offered on Live Fish & Rock that you decide you do not want. Please ensure the items you order are what you want before finalizing the order.
If you experience a loss of your marine fish, invertebrates, corals or plants within 15 days of delivery or freshwater fish within 30 days please contact Customer Relations.
- You must contact Customer Relations within 15 days or 30 days for freshwater fish of delivery. No refund can be offered if contact is not made within 15 days or 30 days for freshwater fish, of delivery.
- Please do not mail any specimens back to Petco.
- Live Fish & Rock refunds may only be given by contacting Customer Relations and cannot be given at any Petco store.
- Please have your order number available when contacting Customer Relations.
Live Fish & Rock items CANNOT be returned to Petco stores.
Terms & Conditions
In order to ensure that the Live Fish & Rock is kept in a safe environment, please be available to sign for the package the day that the order arrives. Please accept the package even if it is late, as it cannot be returned to the vendor. If you are not available to sign for the package, Petco can only guarantee a refund of the price of the Live Fish & Rock and not the shipping cost.
If regrettably your Live Fish & Rock arrives deceased, Petco will gladly issue a refund or a replacement. One-time replacements are issued at Petco's discretion and based on availability of the Live Fish & Rock you ordered. If you signed for the package and a refund is issued, you will also be refunded the prorated shipping cost for the deceased Live Fish & Rock.
Live Fish & Rock arrivals must be acclimated immediately upon receipt following
Petco's acclimation procedures. These procedures are included with each delivery.
Petco recommends that all new Live Fish & Rock be quarantined for 14 days. Petco will not refund or replace any existing Live Fish & Rock that is injured or becomes ill as a result of introducing new Live Fish & Rock to your aquarium.

In the event that your order cannot be immediately fulfilled in its entirety, we will ship the items we have in stock and the remaining

All Live Fish & Rock orders will be delivered by FedEx or UPS from our vendor's facility in Los Angeles, California.
All orders are shipped via FedEx or UPS. After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation that the order was received. You will receive another email as well as a FedEx or UPS tracking number when the order is shipped, so you can track your shipment and be available when the delivery arrives.
