Pets for the Planet Sweepstakes

The PETCO.com "Pets for the Planet" Sweepstakes submission begins at 6 am PST on March 28, 2008 and ends at 11:59 pm PST on May 02, 2008. Sweepstakes conducted by PETCO Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. ("PETCO.com"), San Diego, CA, 9125 Rehco Road, San Diego, CA 92121.
  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: Entrants/Winners must be legal residents of the U.S. who are 18 years of age or older as of March 28, 2008.
  2. HOW TO ENTER:
    • Enter your Green Pet Tip, name and valid email address.
    • You will be redirected to a confirmation page that will confirm your entry.
    • One Green Pet Tip entry, per email address, per day.
  3. By entering you agree to and will become a registered user of the site.
  4. SELECTION OF WINNERS: One Grand Prize Winner and Nine Runner-Up Winners will be chosen by a panel of PETCO.com judges, whose selections are final and binding. PETCO.com judges reserve the right to disqualify entrants for tampering or undermining the sweepstakes. Odds of becoming a finalist depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  5. GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One grand prize will be selected and will be awarded: one year's supply of Pet Promise dog or cat food and $250 worth of pet products! All shipping costs are included in prize. Approximate retail value of prize not to exceed $850. Any expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Prize must be claimed by May 31, 2008. Winner will be notified by email or phone. All prizes will be awarded. Limit one prize per individual/family or household.
  6. RUNNER-UP WINNERS: One free bag or case of Pet Promise dog or cat food (size and formula your choice). All shipping costs are included in prize. Approximate retail value of prize not to exceed $50. Any expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Prize must be claimed by May 31, 2008. Winner will be notified by email or phone. All prizes will be awarded. Limit one prize per individual/family or household.
  7. All entries submitted become the property of PETCO.com and will not be returned. Contest ends May 02, 2008. PETCO.com, Pet Promise, or any of its agents, employees, parents, affiliates or subsidiaries are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, postage due mail, for hardware or software or any telephone, electronic, network or computer malfunctions, failures, errors or data inaccuracies. In the event this contest becomes technically corrupt in any way, electronically or otherwise, sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the contest. In such an event, winners will be selected for any remaining prizes by random drawing from among all valid entries received before cancellation, termination or suspension.
  8. Any prize notification returned as undeliverable through no fault of PETCO.com will result in disqualification of the potential winner and an alternate new entry will be selected. Potential winners will be notified by email and/or phone to the email address/phone number provided by entrants, who are solely responsible for its accuracy. Potential winners may be required to verify email address and must execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within 14 days of notification attempt or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner selected.
  9. All aspects of the prize are NON-TRANSFERABLE and no substitutions are allowed. No cash equivalent or exchange of prize is permitted and any and all local and state or federal taxes resulting from winning and accepting this prize are the responsibility of the winner.
  10. The sweepstakes is only open to U.S. residents, 18 years of age or older as of March 28, 2008, excluding all full or part-time employees of PETCO, Pet Promise, and parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies of each, as well as their agents and representatives. This offer is void wherever prohibited and subject to all federal, state and local laws.
  11. Entrants, by participating in the Contest agree to waive (and potential winners in accepting their prize, must agree in writing to waive) any and all claims of liability against PETCO, Pet Promise, and their parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and agencies, representatives and employees from any accident, loss or injury occurring from this promotion or in any way related to the prize or the use or misuse thereof.
  12. Winners must agree in writing to the use of their names, addresses (city, state), photographs and likeness for purposes of advertising, trade and promoting in any and all media on behalf of PETCO, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
  13. Winners will be posted at www.petco.com/petsfortheplanet by May 08, 2008.
